Change and UNchanging
Older women … are to teach what is good, … Titus 2:3
While some of the changes taking place in our world leave us breathless, it’s good to be reminded that our unchanging God is at work advancing His Kingdom by changing our hearts and, at times, our assignments. And, so it is with Hidden Heart Ministry at this time—a change of leadership assignments. After, several decades of leadership in the ministry, Karen is announcing her intention to step back as president as HHM transitions to a new chapter with broader opportunities for leadership development.
The one unchanging aspect of the ministry of HHM is our commitment to encourage women of all ages and stages to embrace God’s purposes for them as His female image-bearers by sharing biblical truth.
We are pleased to announce that Shannon Mette, who has been a faithful and resourceful HHM board member for several years, is assuming the presidency of HHM. Shannon is a skillful teacher/facilitator and most recently initiated our outreach with online classes. She is the wife of Keith Mette and mother of Jonathan, 20, and Jordan, 18.
Shannon has a passion for discipleship and as co-founder of Living Hope, a 501(c)(3), multi-generational and multi-cultural organization, has developed the Leadership Academy for the purpose of equipping others with the skills and confidence to become His instruments of multiplication on behalf of the Kingdom of God. As the reach of Hidden Heart Ministry is extended through leadership development, through the ministry of Living Hope, disciple making will also be offered to men—singles, husbands, and fathers.
Here are two ways you can get connected and grow with others through HHM:
- Our 8-week classes for The Cry of the Hidden Heart are now forming.
- The Leadership Academy is now open for registration for those who are interested in mentoring or leading a small group.
For more information for either of these options, call Shannon at 314-574-9004.
Likewise, the Leadership Academy of Living Hope will begin an online series for men who are interested in honing their skills in discipleship : Starting JULY 17, 6:30 to 8:00 a.m. CDT. For more info, call Shannon at 314-574-9004.
